I am usually a size 12 Australian. I ordered the 14 just to be safe. I don't really do tight fitted dresses. So I could have got the 12, but since it is for a big formal dinner, the 14 will be much more comfortable, especially with the material. So go with your normal size if you want it more fitted.

I ordered the standard size - 16W - and I definitely need to get it altered so that it fits me better. I did this, though, because I am participating in a weight loss program so no matter what, I knew I would need to get it altered.
